The village of Caromb is in the Department of Vaucluse, in the heart of Provence. It’s the part of Provence made famous by Peter Mayle’s books. Renowned for its food and wine, its historic villages, breathtaking scenery, sunshine and relaxed lifestyle, this is one part of France where everything still does shut at noon for at least two hours while everyone has lunch.

The nearest large town is Avignon, which has several daily TGV trains from Paris. The journey from Paris takes about 2½ hours.
