Caromb is wonderfully located for exploring the area. Provided you have a car, there are many nearby places to visit and enjoy:
- Vaison la Romaine and Orange - both renowned for their Roman ruins
- Nearby villages such as Crillon le Brave, Venasque and Le Barroux
- Beautiful southern Rhone vineyard villages such as Seguret, Sablet, Gigondas, Vacquereyas and Châteauneuf-de-Pape
- Avignon – see le Pont d'Avignon and the Palais des Papes (don’t miss the Bouteillerie, a former artillery room where you can taste, learn about and buy Côtes du Rhône), excellent restaurants and shopping in the old town, museums, galleries
- Luberon villages, including Gordes and Roussillon, Menerbes, Lacoste, Bonnieux and Lourmarin
- L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue – especially on Sunday
- There’s also a very picturesque golf course nearby at Fontaine de Vaucluse
